Son of Prominent Pastor Stabbed to Death
TEMECULA, Calif. (AP) The son of a prominent Southern California pastor has died after being stabbed outside a sports bar where he was celebrating a friend's birthday.
Authorities say Ryan Joshua Armstrong was stabbed to death late Friday outside the bar in Temecula.
The 22-year-old was the son of the Rev. Ron Armstrong, senior pastor at Wildomar's Cornerstone Community Church, which has about 5,000 active members.
Riverside County authorities say another person also was stabbed in the incident and was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives were looking for several suspects in the stabbings, which occurred after a fight broke out in the bar and spilled into the parking lot.
