Palin's Daughter to Speak at Teen Pregnancy Prevention Conf.
(CNN) Sarah Palin's daughter will be in New York on Wednesday to take part in a town hall style meeting on preventing teen pregnancy.
18 year old Bristol Palin is one of the most recognizable teen moms in America. She has been appointed Teen Ambassador for The Candie's Foundation, a group dedicated to preventing teen pregnancies. Neil Cole is with the Candie's Foundation. He said that while birth control will be discussed at the meeting, Bristol will be sticking to her viewpoint.
"I spoke to Bristol and Bristol is going to talk about abstinence," said Cole. And she believes that's the most effective way. She say loves her baby, Trip, but she says, 'I wish I had Trip in five or ten years from now."
Bristol, daughter of Alaska's governor and former Republican vice-presidential candidate, believes in teaching abstinence only, which was why she was chosen to be on the panel.
"We reached out to her over the last month, and just spoke to her, and I think she saw that she could really effect a lot of lives," Cole says. "And I think she's being very brave, and it will be interesting to hear her perspective."
Wednesday is the National Day to Prevent Teen Pregnancy.
